School of Engineering Teaching Excellence Appreciation Award
To recognize the outstanding teaching performance of engineering faculty, the School has established the School of Engineering Teaching Excellence Appreciation Award since 1994. The list of recipients of the award can be found here.

Peer Assessment of Teaching Quality
The School of Engineering insures the quality of teaching through a system of peer review of teaching, which covers both peer observation of classroom teaching and peer evaluation on teaching performance outside class. This system complements the University's mandatory course evaluation system in giving an unbiased and objective evaluation on the teaching performance of faculty members. Departments are responsible for implementing the system of peer review of teaching under the guidelines adopted by the School. The School serves as an independent body monitoring the process of departmental peer reviews and its effectiveness in assuring the teaching quality of faculty members at both the departmental and school level.
