Engineering programs offered by HKUST are accredited by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Through the Washington Accord, HKUST engineering degrees and those awarded by universities in Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States are mutually recognized. Programs related to Computing and Information and Communication Technology are recognized under the Seoul Accord, which signatories include Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. Through these international agreements, HKUST BEng degrees are widely recognized around the world, thus opening up an international spectrum of jobs and career prospects for our graduates.
