Jiguang Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Life Science and Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2011 to 2015, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Raul Rabadan's lab at Columbia University. There, he developed a computational method — TEDG which reconstructs the evolution history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He also collaborated with Uttiya Basu in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia on a project of noncoding transcriptomes. In 2015, Dr. Wang was named as an Irving Institute Precision Medicine Fellow and promoted to Associate Research Scientist and Faculty Member of Department of Biomedical Informatics. He focused on the study of precision medicine of Glioblastoma under therapy. His current interests are in the research of computational methods in cancers.
