Individual Research Interest
Synthesis of graphene and graphene oxide, graphene films for transparent conductors, graphene based multifunctional sensors, surfaces and interfaces of materials, nanocomposites reinforced with nanofillers in various types, and molecular simulations (MD, MM) of new carbon materials.
Prof Zheng received his PhD from Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), in 2011. Before rejoined HKUST, he was an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany. Prof Zheng is currently a Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Junior Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) at HKUST.
