Jun Zhang received the BEng degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2004, the MPhil degree in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2006, and the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. He was a postdoc with the Wireless Networking and Communications Group (WNCG) at the University of Texas at Austin in Jan.-May 2010. From June 2010, he is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Prof Zhang is co-author of the book Fundamentals of LTE (Prentice-Hall, 2010). He was an intern at AT&T Labs in the summer of 2007 and 2008, working on MIMO techniques in WiMAX and 3GPP-LTE systems. His research interests are in MIMO communications, cognitive radio, relay systems, and ad hoc networks.
