2015 Google - HKUST Tech Summer Camp

Google China is partnering with Department of Computer Science and Engineering, HKUST on Tech Summer Camp this year, with the goal of engaging with young students in Computer Science and related majors, exposing Google technology to them, and supporting their career development.

Who?

Freshman and sophomore undergraduate students in Computer Science or related majors (not limited to HKUST) are eligible for this program.

When and Where?

This program is five-day sessions from June 8 until June 12, 2015. The venue will be at Lecture Theaters at HKUST.

What?

This program consists of both tech talks and soft skills training, delivered by Google Engineering Managers and Senior Staff Engineers, and some faculty members from Hong Kong universities. All talks will be delivered in English. Tech talks include: Coding Professionally at Google, Ads Data Infrastructure, Testing at Google, Life of a Dollar, Mobile Development, Internationalization Lightning Talk, Google Overview and Products, etc. Soft Skills trainings include: CV and Interview Training, Presenting with Confidence, Communication Skills, Career Panel, etc. Google reserves the right to modify some of the above topics.

Program Fee?

Google provides this program to students for free. However, travel or meal expenses during the program are not covered.

Considering limited room capacity, we will screen registrants, and send out official invitation, including detailed program agenda and venue address at the end of May.
